My mission is to coach presenters on how to capture, motivate and convince their audiences by attending my workshops and using my world-class resources. In 1984 I founded Wilder Presentations, a boutique presentation business. I have personally offered presentation workshops and consulting services to executives, entrepreneurs, managers, and educators in market-leading companies of every size—from Fortune 100 pharmaceutical firms to community-based non-profits. Along with several presentation trainers, I train our clients to coherently and passionately present their messages and share their stories.

With a masters in organizational development, I coach on the content organization as well as on the organizational issues of a topic. Having extensively studied Argentine Tango for over ten years, I bring the idea of “connection” to my clients to help them more passionately engage with their audience. Also certified to teach Transactional Analysis in business, I coach on the best way to communicate information so that the audience is open to listening. I integrate the training principles of world-class dance and high-stakes performance into my rigorous, artful, and interactive workshops.

As a creative innovator:

  • I was the first to write a book about laptop presenting. I have now rewritten that book three times: Point, Click & Wow! The Habits and Techniques of Successful Presenters.
  • I am co-creator of a one-of-a-kind PowerPoint product, Presentations in a Hurry! 26 Formats That Persuade. This series of 26 professionally designed presentation scenarios enable business professionals to create more organized, focused, and impressive PowerPoint presentations in a fraction of the traditional time. Some of these formats were integrated into several versions of the PowerPoint program.
  • With Geetesh Bajaj I conducted one of the first user surveys on PowerPoint productivity. See the results in the Free Tools section.
  • I also created a one-day workshop titled Creating PowerPoint Presentations That Get Your Point Across. This is not a PowerPoint class—it teaches participants to create an effective presentation using my organizing principles and processes. Participants also practice using certain PowerPoint features to redo and/or create slides. Everyone has to show “before” and “after” slides at the end of the workshop.

My presentation workshops have been taught at many Fortune 100 companies. Get to the Message is the chosen Presentation Workshop for a Fortune 100 Pharmaceutical Company. Gillette Mexico has taught Get to the Message in Spanish. This workshop is so popular because it provides participants with real-time feedback and opportunities to practice again and again, modifying their behaviors with every practice.

My clients include Sodexo, CVS/pharmacy, Verizon Wireless, Avid Technology, Genzyme, Fortune 100 Pharmaceutical Company, Gorton’s Seafoods, Fidelity Investments, Mercury Computer Systems, Fortune 500  Global Manufacturing Company, Grupo Bimbo, Fidelity Ventures, Arbella Insurance, Fresenius Medical Care, The Gillette Company.

My pro-bono work includes The Nature Conservancy, Boston University and City Year.

A native of California, I now reside in Boston, Massachusetts.
